This was the first time I noticed that I was slightly different because of the colour of my skin

When I started primary school in South London when I was 7 it was a girl’s private school and at the time I was the only girl there who was not English. I didn’t actually notice this until one day a girl pointed it out and wasn’t very nice about it to me. This was the first time I noticed that I was slightly different because of the colour of my skin.
