Thank you for a great December!
Thank you to all those schools and organisations who helped give LIMS some airtime over World AIDS Day this year. With your support we are able to continue to deliver workshops and film screenings to schools and organisations across the country and reach many more young people with the important stories of young people living with HIV. Here are a few of our highlights from last month:
Reconnecting with a few of the stars form UNDEFEATED… Pearl & Melanie took part in film screenings at the RIO cinema in Dalston and Southend College
Working in partnership with INTO FILM. For any schools interested in film education, this is a fantastic organisation with a huge database of films and resources and events for teachers to use. Excitingly, UNDEFEATED and the accompanying resources can now also be accessed and available through the site… for more information take a look here
Collaborating with the Sex Education Forum to produce an HIV Issue of their e-magazine, full of resources and useful articles aimed at anyone working with young people around HIV. It’s a really comprehensive document that we’d commend to teachers and can be ordered here
As always, get in touch if you would like us to deliver sessions or if you are interested in getting involved with Life in my Shoes in any way…
Happy New Year
